Idea: Petition to Require Avatars

I would like to start a petition to require an avatar be added to a poster's profile before they can post. When reading a thread, I always glance at the avatar to determine if I should take the post seriously, but I've noticed a few people without avatars. This forces me to take the extra time to read the poster's name... Plus I personally, find it more difficult to remember a poster's name vs their avatar.

I'm somewhat joking, but seriously, people should have avatars.

Maybe make some options available if they don't want to upload an avatar, but maybe 5-10 that they can choose from?

I do love me some good avatars and we have some cool ones on CF.

Maybe we can encourage people to add them by offering coupons and CyCash bonuses!

BTW, the new format is 96x96 and some of you need to adjust/edit or change your avatars since some of the landscape formatted ones don't look good cropped to a square.

Can we also have it state "Previously known as......" in the signature with any other username they had registered under with that IP address to automatically call out the trolls that re-register under multiple accounts.

I spent an embarrassing amount of time yesterday trying to scale my avatar to fit.

And then I spent about 3 minutes this morning fixing it in MS Paint...
