Today I purchased my first new car and I must say it looks PERFECT with my ISU plates. Thanks to the government's clunker deal and a good Nissan rebate, I was able to afford this after graduating in August!

I guess this also gives me away for Cyclone Hide and Seek :jimlad:

Thanks for using my tax dollars to buy a foreign car.

If he doesn't somebody else will. That's the great part of tax dollars. When not all of them are wasted somewhere, somehow......they will waste the remains somewhere else.

seriously people need to get over this crap. its made in the US and people would buy "American" cars if the companies had made decent cars over the past 10-15 years.

I'm sure the Japanese and Chinese use the same logic at home...

And remember they didnt' always win the quality angle. I remember well the days when the bodies would rust out well before any American car would.

your first sentence doesn't make much sense to me. i'm not the brightest, so i'm sure i'm missing something there.

and their cars may have been crap, but what did they do, they improved their cars. it took government help (twice for Chrysler) for the 3 domestic companies to finally get their crap together.

i hate Chevy, but i'll admit i really want a Volt.

I looked at some of the major brands but for what i was looking for and my price range, nothing really suited me until i found something i liked from Nissan and they were willing to give me a large rebate it was ok with it (considering the lack of help I received at places like Chevy)

Well...China and Japan would not have gotten to where they are today if they thought the same we do now about buying products. Does that clear it up?

As a foot note I do own a Honda and a Ford, so I think I'm a little objective on this topic.
