Info: Political Forum - To View, You Must Opt-In

With college football here and basketball approaching, along with the elections, I have finished putting into place the first step in making the different sections of the site customizable - something long requested and in development for quite a while.

In order to view the Political forum going forward, you need to click on "UserCP" in the navigation bar at the top of the page, go to "Group Memberships" and "Join Politics".

Once you do the steps above, you will have access to the political section and all that it contains.

I don't have it setup like that currently, I was going to leave it off unless the clear consensus was for the other way.

As long as it shows when I click "new posts" I am happy. I see that it is doing this for me now that I opted in.

You may want to put a custom error message on the Join Group page. If you don't select the radio button and hit Join Group it gives you some generic message that isn't very helpful.

I'm kind of unsure what the point of this is since it doesn't show up on the front page anyways and you have to go looking so as to find it.

Yeah. I don't really see the point.

Most people check the new posts link to see what is new when they come back. The political threads show up there and a lot of people didn't like them.

If there are enough people that want the political threads on the front page as well for those that opt-in, I can hit the switch and have it so.
