I thought it would be interesting to hear some other opinions on the transfers Iowa State has brought in since Hoiberg took over and now continuing with Prohm. Hoiberg recruits are bolded, this can include sit-out transfers, grad transfers, and jucos for reference. Here our my rankings of the Top 20.

1. Royce - Probably the most talented player we've had since Fizer
2. Kane - Man against boys out there most evenings
3. Clyburn
4. Shayok- looks like he lead the Big 12 in scoring this year
5. Mckay - Won Big 12 defensive POY
6. BDJ - NBA talent, couldnt get his life straightened out
7. Burton- I would put him slightly ahead of Nader
8. Nader- NBA player
9. Jacobson- looks like he could be an All Conference selection this year
10. Hogue- one of my all time favorite Cyclones, IHCC

11. Christopherson
12. Babb
13. Lucious
14. McGee
15. Donovan Jackson
16. Weiler-Babb
17. Chris Allen
18. Bowie
19. Jake Anderson
20. Booker

Next Tier- Talley, Cooke, Brase, Edozie

Busts- Holden, Beverly, Kasongo, Bluford, Phillips

Going off my Top 10 and 12 of the 14 being Hoiberg recruits, I think we can agree Hoiberg carved out the transfer market while Prohm has shown to be better at getting high school talent.

Shayok drives me nuts. Dribbles way to much and is a ball hogging turnover machine. I would bench his ass until he shows he is a team player. Seems to play like personal stats are all he cares about.

Right now he's the best offensive weapon, so they kind of need him to be greedy. I do agree with you though on being frustrated with him at times. When his shots aren't falling he needs to do a better job of getting his teammates the ball.

Jake Anderson should be higher than that. He made that team Fred’s first year a lot better than they would have without him. Thought that team had 5 decent starters but just weren’t close to good enough from the bench.
He played a mean 6 foot tall power forward

Was amazing how that team was in just about every game that year. Jake helped provide a lot of things defensively that were weaknesses for a lot of the rest of that team. He was the glue that held that team together.

Why is Thuglife on the list? If you are including anyone who played for Fred or later why isn't Vanderbeken on there (I love me some Edozie but he wasn't better than Jamie)? If you aren't, Christopherson doesn't belong on there either. He was on scholarship at ISU long before Fred was hired.

1. Kane - no explanation needed
2. Royce - most talented, but wouldnt show up some nights
3. Burton
4. Hogue
5. Clyburn
6. Nader
7. Babb
8. Mcgee
9. Mckay
10. Christopherson

I think Shayok and Jacobsen both could crack this list but too early to commit.
BDJ may have had NBA talent but he was wildly inconsistent, like Cam.
Im basing this strickly off their value at ISU, not NBA potential or talent level.

Agree. I don’t look at jucos the same as sitout transfers. I guess they’re like grad transfers, but moving on...

1.) Kane
2.) White
3.) Clyburn

4.) Burton
5.) Nadar
6.) McKay

7.) Lucious
8.) Chris Babb
9.) BDJ
10.) Anderson

Bowie
Booker

Holden
Beverly
Hans

NWB, Shayok, and Jacobson will likely be pushing to make the top 10
