Rankings?

I just noticed the new rankings were out. It doesn't make any sense that we get no votes in the AP poll, but we get 20 votes in the Coaches Poll, which would put us at 28th.

I just don't get that...

We have not really played anyone yet, so if they can make it through the next couple of weeks mostly intact, they should start getting some votes.

That just goes to show you the coach's around the country know more than the sports writers.

That has always been true.

Could also have something to do with the fact that 10 teams in the Big XII have 3 or fewer losses (Nebraska's currently in 10th with an 11-3 record). They generally don't like to rank too many teams from the same conference.
