I was just reading an article the other day about the "sarcmark":
It is supposed to be a punctuation item to indicate sarcasm.
(I am not being sarcastic in that I was reading an article about little-used punctuation.)

Never when I was in HS, either - at least not that I remember. Maybe during wrestling or football practice or something after school?
I saw some kids get swirlie's in school. Usually was the douchebags doing it that are amazingly still douchebags today.
