Just saw him sitting in a golf cart on Curb recently and thought he looked like death warmed over. Glad he was able to work til the end.

Richard Lewis tweeted out a Little Feat song one time so I responded mentioning that the drummer, Richie Hayward (RIP), was a friend of my fathers (and Ames High alum). He replied saying that “Richie was a great friend that helped me get sober”.
He went on to delete the response to me but tweeting out a similar sentence right after. Probably my favorite Twitter interaction.

Hayward is my neighbors/friends/former boss’ dad. Don’t think he ever met him as he was given up for adoption.
