Soares is going to be a great addition. She is super athletic and has a great feel for the game. She was very comfortable passing from the high post. I didnt see her set up in the low post much but Brazil had another big girl. Glad she is a Cyclone.
How many times did he run up to the scorer's table and lose his **** during that review? 3? 4? At some point, enough is enough.
Soures seems like a very unselfish player. There were times she could have shot but passed to a player she thought had a better shot. Her 3-pt shot reminds me a little of Kristin Scott.
Ah, a T... I was wondering what the F happened at the end. Weird way for that to end when it looked to be over.
I thought the technical was called to start all the drama. Looked like the ref was signaling T when Brazil came on the court to celebrate the game winning shot with one second left

It was 57-54 Argentina and Soares went on a one-woman 8-0 scoring spree for Brazil in the 4th. 3, 2, and a 3. So excited to see her in the cardinal and gold.
For the tournament Soures averaged 10.2 points while shooting 51 percent and nearly 62 percent from 3! She also averaged 6.6 rebounds. This was all while playing less than 17 minutes per game!

I watched every game and was impressed with her play as CloneSt8 said she passed IMO to many times to players who then just threw up a prayer when she had a better shot. I thought the Brazil coach was going to blow the game with his substitutions. But our player came through in the clutch looking forward to the season. In the end I thought the officials were afraid of the crowd so they had to figure a way to give the HOME team a chance. That crowd was more like a soccer crowd with the horns and chants and the Argentina players were constantly complaining to the ref's.
Only concern i have is how she handles the players she sees that she'll be giving up 40-50 pounds to. Probably come down to how the game is being called and leaving it in the refs hands rarely works out for us.
There were times I thought that as the players were much like the school from the east.
