Planning a multifamily vacation somewhere on the South Carolina coast next spring/summer. I'm sure we can find accommodations but am looking for fishing recommendations. The goal is yellow fin tuna. We'll be making other fishing trips closer in for the kids. Checking to see if anyone here had experience or recommendations.

Didn't go specific but about 20 years ago I just rented a rod and I think some packaged minnows and caught a small shark. Super cool experience.

I have a buddy who used to be a charter captain on Hilton Head. I never made it down there to see him while he was there so I guess I am no help.

Murrell's Inlet a little bit south of Myrtle Beach is where I would look. I go to SC often, my family is from there. My advice avoid Myrtle and do a smaller beach close by. Murrell's Inlet would have a variety of fishing expeditions lasting for an hour or two to all day. Also a lot of really fun kid's activities.

Been up and down the coast from Willmington, Myrtle, Charleston. Great food. Murrell's Inlet is a good spot and not as crowded.
