Do they weight certain sports or do they all have equal value?

Based on rankings for up to 10 mens sports and 10 womens sports. We only have 6 mens sports to that is an immediate 4 spots with no points. We do pretty well for a program our size, hell, we do really well for a program our size. Women's track, volleyball and hoops help us a lot since they are all ranked or particpated in NCAA tournaments.

Ours Points:
11th place in W. cross country = 66 pts.
9th place in W. Volleyball = 64 pts.
9th place in womens track and field = 69 pts.
44th in football = 25 pts. (I think actually winning a ******* bowl game gets you more points)

We will add points of both our hoops teams being inthe NCAAs and hopefully add some track points. Not sure if we got anything for wrestling.

Iowa had a total of 25 points of womens field hockey. School total thanks to field hockey = 25 pts. Football = 0 pts

The Iowa womens hoops team will get points for being in the NCAA but I don't think that BS NIT thingy gets you points for guys sports. The sweaty Brands grapplers will get them points.

50 points coming for MBB (Round of 32)
50 points coming for WBB (Round of 32)
66 points coming for wrestling (11th place)
At least 34 points coming for gymnastics (minimum 36th place)

And yes, winning a bowl game is worth +20.

He said Iowa. Tuuuuuuuurible volleyball. Which is strange. You'd think if ISU could do what they did, and UNi does what they do, Iowa could at least be competitive.

Yeah, I caught that after I posted (now deleted).

We were "tuuuuuuuurible" but got the right hire and she appears to be happy building things here and not jumping ship. It is a little out of the norm that Iowa is not very good since the regional rivals and regional schools here are currently pretty good in VB; ISU, UNI, Creighton, Huskers, Gophers, Badgers. It's not like there is no midwestern HS base to recruit from.

Oklahoma could win the national championship for Women's Gymnastics ... with KJ and Lou from Iowa State.

So it looks likely that we will finish 4th in the conference seeing as OU has three sports alive and is only slightly behind us. Great work by ISU Athletics this year, overperforming the expected results based on athletic budgets by a ridiculous amount.

EDIT: How many points for a national championship? Didn't think about that, we are 132 up on Baylor so I'm hoping it is not that many points.

There's still spring sports. That's where the other Big 12 schools make hay -- softball, baseball, outdoor track, golf, tennis.

Texas, OU, and A&M each scored 400+ points just in the spring season last year. Baylor put up 300+.

Whoops, guess I missed that. Oh well.
