One day, @Mr Janny and I were driving down Duff. I saw the below car in front of us, and I burst out laughing so hard I couldn’t talk. He asked me eventually why I was laughing so frigging hard.

Me: “That license plate, I can’t believe they got it through.”
Janny: “…Why?”
Me: “‘Love to see ‘em pee?’ This dude is announcing he is into water sports.”
Janny (laughing): “…or they love to camp?”
Me: “Ohhhhhhh.”

A couple recents I've seen.

MLFCNT in Norwalk. I'm assuming this was supposed to say Maleficent.

MYD4CY around Des Moines.

I think back in the 80's a guy in Waterloo had the license plate 3M TA3 They got lots of complaints when people saw it in their mirror. He claimed it was his business name but had to turn the plates in when he couldn't provide any proof.

I don't think this is real but still funny. The letters look photoshopped. Muscatine is small enough, I think I would have heard talk of this plate if it existed.

Probably depends on the approver? You can sneak one through if you're convincing enough with your explanation.

I'm ISU, a fan!

I'm ISU Air Force
This is what I assume this was. If they produce proof of current or past Air Force enlistment they probably would be very careful about denying.

Not exactly sure.

Think it doesn’t matter. My son knows a kid whose last name is Fosdick. He wanted that for his plates. They said it’s inappropriate. So he went with Fosd1ck. Like, WTF man.

What I was suggesting is that they might be wary about denying a veteran who has a legitimate plate that celebrated his/her veteran status even if they thought it was skirting the line.
