While many food vendors on Welch have come and gone, these two have stood the test of time. I will admit there are other delicious options, however these seem to be the two most popular. Which do you prefer? While both tasty, I'm a gyro guy.

Never had the gyro, so I have to say Super Dog. I've tried making them myself, but it's just not the same. I want a Super Dog now.
Had to vote for Gyro guy. Super dog was not there when I was spending to much time on Welch.
Wow... this is actually a really tough question for me. Had them both, love them both.
After minutes of deliberation I went with the Super Dog because you can't just walk into any town and get a Super Dog. Meanwhile, you can get Gyro's a lot of places.

Same here, but the Gyro Stand had chili dogs. I'd add onion and feta and they were cheaper than the gyros.

Super Dog easy.
You can go to multiple other places in Ames and get a better gyro than at the gyro cart. Nowhere else can you find a Super Dog.

Get one on the way to the other
This is easy. Come out of Mickeys downstairs, you have a lot of calories to replace so you hit up the gyro guy, casually make your way to the Superdog line, by the time you're up, the gyro is gone and you move on to the second course.
Both are delicious. But ive had good gyros all over the place. You can't replicate a super dog very easily, and Ive never seen a hotdog quite like it anywhere else.

While I do love a Super Dog, the problem is that I've had some that are inconsistent. The gyro is always good. I voted gyro.
I've only ever had the Gyro stand drunk, but where in Ames can you get a better one? The only place I've had one is Pammel, and it was not good.
