Getting daughter #1 a TV for her apartment in Ames for this coming year, her and her friends all like Roku, the only thing I'm seeing at Best Buy in the size and price range I want that have Roku integrated are TCLs. I've never owned a TCL. Anyone have experience/knowledge/insights on if TCL is any good?

It's fine... I got one for my mother in law, it worked, and the picture was not bad. Still going after 3 years, so I guess I got what I paid for it out.

I have one in my garage, I like it. Sound is actually better off the tv than my Samsung. Picture isn’t the greatest compared to other high end TVs, but it’s plenty good for watching most shows.

There’s probably a bunch of college dudes about to be watching a bunch of pron on it…how’s the picture quality with that?

Just shitting you @Gonzo

Good info. This'll be the main TV for daughter and 4 roomies, and we'll probably use it for a guest room at our house after her apartment lease is up. It won't get a ton of use down there. And the price is reasonable.

Since it’s in the garage, I can’t say anything to that. The TV works, looks decent and has been going from 30 degree temps to 90 degree temps for two years and is still plugging away.

We have a 65 in our living room, a 42 in the oldests room and a 32 in the middle kids room. All have been solid TVs. You can get them at target with the 5% red card discount. The 65 is going on 4 years now I think.
