365 sports reported that Sweat lied to NFL teams prior to DWI arrest. They said that Sweat told the NFL that he no longer partied and that they didn’t have to worry about him.

If Sweat drops a round because of this (hypothetically) and goes in the second round, he lost $32 million.

It's the NFL. They don't care about routine DWI's or minor drug stuff. They only take a stand on beating your wife (for PR reasons) and guys that may be crazy enough to kill a teammate (cause investment in said teammate).

And that doesn't last too long.

How many players have had issues and then not that long after it's 'hey look over here touchdowns, he's saved!!'.

This thread sucks. We’ve had plenty of incidents let’s not throw stones.
They’re not even in our conference

From the article: "tested at .105, above the legal limit of .008"

Texas has a really low legal limit! :jimlad:

I saw a headline that said Texas DL tested 25% over the legal limit. I'm sorry, but that's a headline that is misleading. It's just not crazy intoxicated. 0.105 is barely over the legal limit and even someone that big, what are we talking 7-8 beers? A normal sized person can be over after 4 beers. If I were an NFL team, this wouldn't even play into my consideration.

This country and specifically the Midwest is full of drunks. Let's not get high and mighty about someone losing the cop lottery.

First of all, I hope Swift gets some help. I know a couple people where alcoholism ruined their lives. I hope he uses this as a learning experience and will make better decisions going forward

With that said, after last year's incident with Jalen Carter, I don't know how much his draft stock will actually drop. Nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to the draft
