My Grandpa died yesterday at the age of 92. He lived through the Great Depression, fought in the Phillipines in WWII, raised 8 kids, married to my Grandma for 70 years, on his death bed he said it would have been nice to see the Cubs win a World Series.

Sorry to hear about your loss but it sounds like he had a pretty good life.

I have a wierd feeling I will share the same thought on my death bed.

Sorry for your loss.

This is way I refuse to ever base anything too heavily on sports. I absolutely love sports, especially football, but there's nothing about it that you have any kind of control of.

Sorry to hear that B. My gramps passed away at 95 and was a die hard Cubby as well...hence the reason for my Cub fandom....I'm sure I'll never witness a Cubs World Series celebration in my lifetime either.
