I don't see anything not correct from a national point of view. We say the same thing about other mid to lower level teams from other conferences.

I liked this from the Indiana write up:

New Coach Kevin Wilson began the year by rocking some weird quotes upon the mic at Big Ten media day, including this gem “we’re ready to take this ship and get this thing exploded.â€￾

Finally, some preseason respect! Its about time!

Edit: hold on, we're stacked at WR? Really? Wow, dumb article.

Fair assessment, but I would still put us at 50 right now. Some of those teams in front of us would not beat us.

Reliable source or not, it's probably within range of expectation.

We all have to realize, being pegged at No. 60 in preseason is quasi-progress. ISU has been projected as mid-70s to upper-80s in I-A for much of the past decade. (Prior to that, I can't recall).

Preseason, anywhere from upper 40s to lower 60s sounds believable. I envision a season noticeably better than that.

I'm going out on a limb and say ISU will be at least on the fringe of top 25 sometime during the season — possibly after shocker win over OU, or just prior to that (falling back w/ losses to OU and UT).

Do people really think 60 is unreasonable? Most teams from 5 or 6 major conferences could beat us. Thats like 40 teams right there, then add in some odd mid-majors like boise and the like and it's not really inconceivable that we are 60.

I think this is a fair assesment. It also shows how far we have came, if I'm not mistaken years previous we have been in 80-100. They will also most likely rank the same teams the same way year after year. Keep winning and we'll eventually make the 40s
