Remember when Tom Petty helped The Postman escape from Bethlehem's scouts on that cable car? Yeah, me neither. Nobody watched that terrible movie. :D

But in all seriousness, please don't let Tom Petty be the next great one to die. :(
Ok, I can admit-- I loved that movie. And Petty's cameo was one of the reasons why.

D*****.

Was never really into him, but enjoyed his hits and his impact on the music industry. Everyone knew Tom Petty. RIP.

Makes me wish I had seen him in Des Moines this summer. RIP.

I was so glad to see AC/DC at the Well a few years ago with all the sustaining members, just Brian replacing Bon. Yep, always those "damn, if I had only......"

Seeing the foo fighters in a month at the well. I could see them doing some sweet little tribute to him. Atleast I hope they do.

Janny and I had tried to figure out his and Joe Walsh's ages during the concert this summer. It makes sense that he'd be that old, but it's also surprising. But think about it, the guy has had some level of success in each decade since the 70s.
Seems like just a few years ago I was seeing icons from my childhood pass. It's very sobering when you start seeing people your age passing.
RIP Tommy...

Distinct voices of my youth keep dying. Petty didn't sound like anyone. He'll be missed.

Damn, Jeff Lynne and Bob Dylan are all that's left of the Traveling Wilburys now.

Saw him in Raleigh in 2006. Myself and two other dudes drove through a hurricane from Myrtle Beach. Incredible show, something I will never forget. RIP Tom.
