I thought K-State would be up there, but losing to A&M makes me think they are going to lose to several teams on the road. KU was built to run with 2 post players and now is forced to play small ball without shooters. Iowa State is the best team in the conference this year. Very hard to guard and picking up Shayok was huge.
I'd like to believe you are right, but Phog Allen is a huge advantage. When you can nearly count on not dropping a home game it makes slogging through the long 18 game season a bit easier. Also, Self is easily the best coach in the conference in ensuring that his team is up and performing for each contest. You don't see very many where they flat out weren't ready to play - but I do get hope seeing their performances in Hilton and Morgantown. Still, I won't count KU out until the are actually mathematically eliminated.

Good test tonight for Ku coming off a loss and playing a big Texas team in Austin. Money seems to be moving toward the Horns in spite of Shaka not-so-smart. Ku clearly has problems with big teams beating them inside without Dok or the other pay-to-play dude, DeSousa. It would be nice to see the cows gore the squawks tonight and totally reset the conference race once and for all.

Still ranking K-State #1 after that display in College Station Saturday? Yikes! You're either delusional or suffer from extreme homerism.

No, based on being at the top of the league, presently, and beating ISU in Ames. It's not illogical albeit I do admit to homerism.

When KSU pees down their legs at the sight of KU uniforms again (home or away), your homerism will wilt.

All of the teams in the Big XII are Jekyll and Hyde this year, but Kstate is a wildcard in these rankings. Do we see the KState that always play ISU tough or the KState that looked hapless in College Station. I'm thinking that game ends up being more of an outlier, but time will tell.

I don't think they are playing better than ISU right now, but their win in Hilton and better overall record makes it hard to rank them above us at the moment. If the names on the jerseys were swapped, I would be hard pressed to argue otherwise.

Regardless, I'll take how we've been playing in these last five games over anyone else in the Big XII. If we keep this up, things will take care of themselves.

I don't see anything that changes my rankings from the last 2 weeks. I will stay with:

1) ISU, KSU, KU, TTU, BU
6) UT, OU,TCU
9) WV,OSU

Some missed opportunities (ISU @ KU, KU @ Tejas) for a team to pull out for the log jam but they didn't happen.

I guess UT could make a claim to get in the top spot by beaten ISU in Ames this weekend.

Not sure we will know much more a week from now. This baby is going down to the last few games.

Tourney is going to be a Hum Dinger!! WooooooEeeeeee

I almost thought KSU was good enough to win the league.

And then they scored 53 against a 7-10 team.

This! K-State just doesn't pass the eye test either. Sure, they beat Iowa State in Ames but it took one of our worst performances of the season for it to happen. Offensively K-State really struggles and I can see both Baylor and Kansas carving them up.
