I thought the 1st episode was a little slow but i'm sure that is because they are introducing the characters and the back story. I think it will pick up and could be very good. I always like it when shows/movies are set in rural Louisiana since that adds a mysterious/creepy vibe.
I didn't want to start another thread but Shameless was also back. I love that show and it started of with a bang and some great "footage" of Emmy Rossum. Sunday night TV on the premium networks is where it's at.
I had to rewind a couple times to understand what was being said.
Props to HBO for giving DirecTV customers a free weekend. I wasn't going to renew HBO until Game of Thrones came back but it looks like I will be doing it sooner.
Boring...just another cop show with some evil twist at the end. Nothing that hasn't already been done before a million times, with Matthew McConaughey overacting in a vapid role.
That would be a breath of fresh air, really. Nothing wrong with cop elements in an original, but my personal opinion, I'm very tired of full-on cop shows. Leave them to CBS, NBC, ABC, and Fox...although it would be nice for those channels to diversify as well.
OK. I am pretty much ready to give this show up. Four episodes and I am finding it very slow and boring. I want to punch MM if I have to watch him smoke another cig.
F'in right. I think that it's really good and I hate cop shows. Maybe it helps that I don't watch CSI or SUV or any of that crap. Woody and MM are interesting characters and the show seems really dialogue driven and stressful. Can't wait to see where it goes.
