That's weird. According to HN, he was going to become Fran McCaffrey's assistant coach.

GarBar hires Fred for one day, he’s named T-Wolves coach the next. GarBar holds press conference announcing another extension for Fran because he’s now putting guys in the NBA.

Nobody is getting hired till after the season. Kid Saunders is the interim coach for at least remainder of the season. Betting at seasons end they assess both coach and GM.

I am hoping they tank so tickets will be cheap next month when Monte and the Nuggets come to town. ;)

There is absolutely no way that Fred doesn’t take one of these jobs. From what I remember, he loved it up here in Minnesota.

Got a house for Fred! Only three miles from Target Center. Listed at only $2M. 5 Bedroom, 7 bath, 7,000 SF. 1/4 mile from me in case he wants to invite me over for drinks or something although rich people never ask me over cause I am just a commoner.

If Fred waits long enough he can get the GM job and will have a lot less stress than being the head coach.

What did he do as assistant GM his first time around? I don't recall the t-wolves ever being good at any time when he was up there?

Thibodeau has always been overrated in my opinion. He ran D Rose into the ground in Chicago and refused to change anything with his style of play despite the league clearly going to a faster pace and more offensive minded.

I’m no NBA fan and only know about this situation from the sports talk shows here in MSP. I can’t believe it didn’t make the owners nervous when Thibs just tried to bring all his old CHI players to Minnesota.

Fred would be a great fit up there. He'd run more offense through Townes and turn him into a superstar. Thibbs totally squandered that guy's talent.

So the Bulls owe Fred $, and he'll make more in Minnesota. I'm in the wrong field

Not exactly sure.
Not Gull...my parents have a place there. Fred is closer to the Cities...

Did he sell his Clear lake place? I know it has been 3-4 years, but honestly didn't know. I know he closed his car dealership but thought maybe he kept his house on the lake since that would be a vacation home.
