Yeah, they are very different styles of point guard. I think Brunson might be getting a little too much hype for getting NYC to the "#2" spot in the east. If the top players in the east had stayed healthy they're probably 4th and even as things are they're 3 games out of 7th and 4 games out of 8th. It was just a cluster of teams.

If Kerr was actually trying to win for team USA last summer he should have played Edwards and Haliburton together instead of platooning Edwards with ball dominant Brunson. It's not that he really played Brunson more than Hali, it's that he played Brunson with the starters where Haliburton is a better fit with the starters and Brunson is a better fit dominating the ball with the reservers. Also thought Brunson's length was a liability in some of those losses on defense.

Agreed. Hoping they learned from that, and Hali starts or plays a lot with the starters on this team.

Ive been reading columns today about potential other choices of players that werent picked, and it referenced Brunson’s “lower center of gravity” being a positive over Hali lol

With how insane Tyrese has become from 3, he's also not a bad player to be a spot up shooter if the ball is in the hands of people like Durant, Edwards, Davis or LeBron who can pass to him out of double teams for wide open shots. I know LeBron loves his game and being in the west I think this is the first time they'll ever play together. AD developed into a great passer pretty late in his career.

He'll never be that shooting specialist guy on an NBA team because of how good he is with the ball in his hands, but he can fill that role on an all star team that has tons of ball handlers. I see Steph as the #1 guy for that on this team but Tyrese might be next best.

Pretty awesome!! The kid was going to UNI before Iowa State found him. And now he’ll play with the best of the best in large part because he’s the kind of player that everyone wants to play with.
