I would imagine it was a couple sizable bets right when the line opened. Realistically not a lot of people bet this game especially with the late line opening.

Have to admit that I would have bet the farm on uni+21, but I was lazy and by the time I checked this morning it was down to 6.5 so I rode with the clones. My procrastination paid off.

Was anyone else puzzled by UNI going for 2 when they were down 21? Not great for UNI +21 thru +20.

Agree... I'd hammer UNI with a few 1,000 bucks... and be happy no matter what happens. I'd be fine losing that if we won by 20 or more.
You’re fine losing a few thousand on a bet against ISU just to beat UNI by 20?? Brent Blum needs to give you a call.

I was puzzled too, but in the game thread several folks explained that it was already a 3-score lead at 21 points; if you cut it to 19 with a 2-point conversion, potentially the 3 scores could be 2 TD+2s and a field goal. Fail on the 2-pointer and it’s still 3 possessions, just 3 TDs. So you don’t lose anything if you don’t make the 2, and if you succeed you’re set up to just need 2 TDs and a FG instead of 3 TDs.
