I think players who like dropping the ball and falling down around the line of scrimmage are just not going to play all that much going forward.
I got a picture with him tonight on the field. He is a remarkable young man. We should hope our sons are everything this guy represents.

He is just having a bad year, still has a lot of potential and will be back at some point

Also, Nwangwu is back in practice (Oct 2, out since achilles inj in winter)...think he will he play at all for kick returns?

My hope, and what I would like to see, is that MW can come back strong and contribute to the team in some meaningful way the rest of this year and next year.
However, with Montgomery only a sophomore, Croney getting some time, and Nwangu coming back at some point, I don't think I'd be all that surprised to see him transfer somewhere else after this season for his final playing year.

Even if he doesn't get much play time, he's on a team learning not just sound football, but important life skills under one of the best head coaches to ever grace JTS. Who wouldn't want to learn from CMC?
Zero. DM is a beast. TCU has a really good line and defense overall.

He’s a back that needs a hole to run into, as he’s at his best when he has a head of steam. Hope he can find his spot before he’s done, but I have nothing but praise for guys that are team first (and he is).
Our run blocking is not really to Mike's style but then again Montgomery has to break 3 tackles a run to get yards with our line.
I hope we get better at making holes for our backs in the near future.

Have to say, Montgomery's yardage/ypc may not be impressive on paper, but the ability to run for positive yardage consistently was big today. TCU still had to account for him.
Can he play middle linebacker?
It has already been said, but once Warren gets past the 1st level he is exceptional. Coaches have said he is one of the fastest on the team. If/when ISU has the offensive blocking ability with a mauler or 2 it will be pretty amazing to put out RBs of different styles.

Once that OL becomes what the staff envisions, DM and Warren will become a very potent 1-2 punch.
Does anyone have an inside report on Mike Warren? He’s been a ghost since the Iowa game.... I’m surprised we don’t see him spell Montgomery 3-5 times per game.
