2022 -- Shantavia Dawkins (Southwest Academy, Ontario): Her team plays in the top-level Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA), which is a bloodbath, as most (if not all) of the schools are sports-focused prep schools. Her team, which also has top-level recruit Lemyah Hylton (Arizona commit we recruited) and Keira Spencer (who we have offered), is 8-9 in their pool, which gives you an idea of the level of competition. Stats are very incomplete. Pool play is almost done (and Southwest Academy is done with their games). There is some some sort of tournament in March, but I don't know any details -- given the short schedule, I'm guessing all teams will participate.

2023 -- Kelsey Joens (Iowa City High): City High is the #5 seed in the 5A state tournament, playing 11:45 am on Monday Feb 28. They are on the opposite side of the bracket from Roosevelt, so Jackson and Joens will only play if they both make the final. City High is 19-4. Joens leads the team with 21.5 ppg, 1.4 spg, and 0.7 bpg, and is second with 6.2 rpg. A little over 40% of her shots are threes, and she's hitting around 35% of them.

2024 -- Aili Tanke (Johnston): Johnston is the #1 seed in the 5A state tournament, playing 10 am on Monday Feb 28. They would play City High in the semi if both win their quarterfinal games. Johnston is 23-0. Tanke is the #4 scorer on a very balanced team that features senior Jada Gyamfi, an Iowa signee who leads her team in every per-game statistic. About half of Tanke's shot attempts are threes, which she's hitting at 40%.

Long story short, if you want to see some future Cyclones, check out the 5A tournament. Three of the four quarterfinals have future Cyclones, and the other has a potential one (Waterloo West's Sahara Williams). Additionally, Audi Crooks and her Bishop Garrigan team are in the 1A tournament starting March 2.

All games will be on https://watchighsau.com/ except the championship game, which is on Iowa PBS and various streaming platforms (including youtube).

Shantavia Dawkins update: Southwest Academy did quality for the March tournament without needing a play-in game (every team had a shot, but the bottom teams had to win play-in games). I believe they are the 6 seed, so they have the following schedule:

Quarterfinal: Thurs March 3 12:00 PM
Semifinal: Sat March 5 12:00 PM
Final: Sun March 6 4:00 PM

All games are supposedly streaming here: https://www.ontariosba.ca/osbatv
(EDIT: Direct link to the youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/osbatv )

Not exactly sure.
2023 -- Kelsey Joens (Iowa City High): City High is the #5 seed in the 54A state tournament, playing 11:45 am on Monday Feb 28.
