In the "off-topic" forum, I had the word s-c-r-i-p-t-s edited out and replaced by the ********** thing.

Any idea why that happened?

Thanks!

Phaedrus, no idea why that word is in the language filter! Strange, indeed.

ISUCyclones, you probably know that the letters you question are a derogatory term that really has no place here. If you don't want to lose rep or get posts edited, use appropriate terms and language.

s-c-r-i-p-t and the plural version are only censored due to security risks of allowing them. They've been used in the past on other sites that use the same framework that we do to exploit the system and hack it. Almost all web software and s-c-r-i-p-t-s can be exploited unless you block those words.

Wow! Cool! Thanks for sharing. Interesting how things on these interwebthingies work.

Ah, yes! That makes perfect sense!

As a Technology Historian kind of guy, that is some good stuff.
