Interesting angles emerging..

Would you rather band together with KU, KSU, Mizzou and Baylor and bring in the 10 MWC schools and say Houston to form a 16 team "Big 12" and retain the BCS bid, or would you rather see the 10 teams left in the Big 12 stay together and add two more teams, or just stay at 10?

10 plus two. Keep it in the central time zone and keep Texas recruiting base.

Any answer should and is dependent on television revenue.

From a purely selfish standpoint, I like the idea of a 10 team league where we play everyone every year. Although, I think the league expands if this happens.

I think it all depends what the numbers are.

Personally, if Big east is ~15, big 12 is 17, and MWC is ?? Id go

Big east
Big 12
MWC

Big 12 becomes better for me if we go grab Louisville, Cincy, Air Force, Utah, etc. Keep it at 12, 8 games.

I would rather the remaining 10 teams left stick together and look to add 2-4 teams. No need to rush in adding those teams, they could take their time and find good fits. A 10-team Big 12 works for me as long as Beebe's new plan gives us the $17 million as is being discussed. And some sort of new loyalty clause in the new contract to keep the teams together.

Existing 10 teams + Louisville, Memphis, Cincinnati, and Colorado State.

Retain the Denver market, plus add an additional 5 million TV sets, and maybe more.

Of course, Beebe is a spineless moron, so this won't happen.

At this point I'd rather join the Big East. While I may not blame them for looking out for themselves, I just don't Texas with our future. I also just do not believe we will have the same media exposure in the MWC that we would have in the Big East. If we thought we were obscure in the Big 12, we'd be unheard of in the MWC.

I'd prefer the MWC but I don't think ISU can walk away from 17 million.
Plus cashing the checks from Nebraska and Colorado will be nice.

I would rather have the remaining 10 teams in the Big 12 stay together and add 2 more (Houston & Tulane would add TV sets). Then move Oklahoma and Okie St to the "North". This would rebalance the divisions and allow the original Big 8 schools (minus Nebraska and Colorado) to be in the same division.

Adding Air Force, Memphis, Louisville, Colorado State would would work as well, but not add the sets Houston would. Tulane was more to include New Orleans, but Memphis might add as many TV sets.

For now I would like to stay at ten. I would only like this if we could play OU and Texas in November.
