Which conference would we rather be in.

If the college football landscape doesn't change and if the big12 had
equal revenue sharing would we rather stay in the big12 or play in the big10.

Big 12

leaving for the big ten and/or losing texas schools would make recruiting in texas very difficult

Are we assuming everything ($$$) is equal? Or, is the Big 10 still bringing in millions more than the Big 12 in TV revenue?
If the Big 10 is still bringing in a ton more $ than the Big 12, then the Big 10 is where I want.
But, if everything is considered equal and we are going just based on name, location, and schools, then I would rather stay in the Big 12.

Yeah, I was taking the "everything's even" approach. If revenue, etc. stayed as it is you'd have to go Big 10.

The Big 10 sucks. I mean, it really does. Look how dismal they have been in bowls. Only 2 national titles in football in 42 years! The big 10 is a "has been".

If we can get recruits from Cali and Florida without ever playing there, I doubt the 3 star recruits we're getting from texas are going to stop coming in.

I've wondered for a long time if this Texas recruiting thing is overblown. Without looking at our recent recruiting classes it seems like we have gotten about the same number of kids from both California and Florida as Texas. Plus how much does it really help that the only time Texas kids see us play is when we are getting hammered by UT?

I don't think the Texas recruits would stop coming but we'd certainly get less. Big 10 schools get Texas kids but just not as many. The only way I'd be in favor of leaving the big 12 is if there was no big 12 around. Anyone who would prefer the big 10 must not have read the OP.

And that is 2 more national titles than we have @ ISU. Big 10 for me and it's not even close.
