Bunch all of the classes together and get them out of the way?

Or spread them out over the day?

Sometimes the former is better, but I have a tendency to leave campus and get distracted with something at the house.

I go for the tightest bunch of classes I can find. I don't waste as much time and it makes scheduling work much easier for me.

I always tried to get my classes scheduled as closely together as possible. It allows for more flexibility in other things I was doing (work, GSB, drinking).

There were numerous semesters where I was done before Noon or 1. A few others where I was done before 2 and started at maybe 10 or 11.

I always liked close together, starting at 9 and hopefully ending by 2. Nice and compact.

Worst schedule I had was a class every other hour from like 8 until 4 one semester. That sucked. I also had a monday one semester that was solid class from 9-5. That was miserable.

If your classes are spread out you will be exhausted going from skipping class to down time between classes throughout the day. I say pack them in tightly, and be able to get them over with one extended class-skipping session.

I like getting them over with. Plus, with working, it's just easier to have my classes done with so I can have a flexible schedule.

I don't mind having one break in there to go grab a bite to eat, but fewer breaks, the better.

I always tried to have them bunched tight enough so once I got on campus I would not leave. The best was the semester I have classes from 10-2 m-th and only one class on Friday. The Friday class was at noon so it did not interfer with with $2 pitcher night (Thurs) at Welch Ave. Station.

One semester I loaded all my classes on MWF, and had T/Th off. That was kinda cool.

I usually liked to bunch my classes for fewer trips to campus, but never shied away from 8 o'clocks. Good grades were easier to come by in 8 o'clocks, because half the class wasn't there. Plus, I could start at 8 and be done by noon, able to take a nap!

I had a roommate one year who didn't have class Friday and only had a 3:00 class on Monday. I was so jealous of that schedule. I never had a class-free day. Well, I never scheduled a class-free day. The closest I came was only having a lab at 1:00 on Tuesday and Thursday one semester, which is how I managed to sleep until noon on Tuesday September 11, 2001 and woke up to an empty apartment and made it all the way to campus before I knew what was going on.

The worst schedule I ever had in college was my freshman year..I took German 201 and 202..M-F at 7:00 am for two semesters. Most of my communication at that hour consists of itches, scratches and grunts...

Speaking English was tough enough before noon while I was in college, German was nearly impossible..but I passed.

Next semester I will only have class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It will be amazing. Days off are very necessary.

i would say that neither in excess is the way to go. having no classes on Friday is pretty sweet if you can swing it, but 1 semester I had all my classes (18 credits) on Tuesday and Thursday. By the end of the semester I had to drop a class and still had the lowest GPA of my entire life (1.??) I am normally a 3.5 kind of guy so this was devastating. Spread it out to force yourself to work some each day, but having at least some free time is good too. Everything in moderation.

When I was in college I tried to start no earlier than 10 and be done no later than 3 or 4 pm. Rarely did that work out because some classes started only at 8am but was great when I could put 3 or 4 classes back to back with maybe a 1 hour gap in there somewhere. Worst semester was I had an 8, 11, 1, and 6pm class M, W, F That really sucked having all those breaks in between and not being done till about 7:30 at night.

Right now my classes are T-Th, with only bowling on M-W, and nothing on Friday. Good for work, etc. except that Tuesday is a ballbreaker going from 9AM-9PM with an hour break before my night class
