I'm in Des Moines again now. But on the south side, so...
Do I need to bring a poncho for the game tonight?
I’ll do gutters tomorrow as I would fall either way but the snow may cushion the fall.If there was ever a day that screamed “last chance to clean out your gutters”, this is it.
I’m taking my wife and kids back to Council Bluffs today, turning back to Ames for the game and staying overnight in Des Moines. Was going to go back to Albia overnight, but that sounded like it’s the heaviest there. Will heading west on 80 be possible at some point Sunday?
Cleaned gutters and put up lights today. Thinking I should plan on doing both together every year to cut down on my chances of falling off the ladder. If there was ever a day that screamed “last chance to clean out your gutters”, this is it.
I'm on the 5:20 AM flight out of DSM tomorrow @wxman1 , how am I looking?
True, but my forecast already accounts for the northward shift from today compared to yesterday. I would set higher odds on it swinging back more south of 80 than pushing the heavy stuff north of 30 due to the wind set up. Or it might be right on.
We'll see what tomorrow brings. Still a ways to go.
I did the same on Friday. Makes cleaning easy when it all comes out in one big frozen chunk.Cleaned gutters and put up lights today. Thinking I should plan on doing both together every year to cut down on my chances of falling off the ladder.
Agree. I'm on the West side of CR in Cedar Hills and there is nothing happening. The cut off gradient on the north side of this storm is amazing.
