Chelsea Poppens, as of right now, is predicted to go 5th in the 2013 WNBA draft.

I know it is a far ways out, but this just shows she is finally getting recognized.

I believe there are rules that don't allow you to enter the WNBA until four years post-high school. I don't know that for certain. There's more money to be made overseas for top players anyway.

The key word is 4 years post high-school.

I happened to chat with Cheryl Reeves, Minnesota Lynx's HC, about a month ago and we talked about this year's draft. She mentioned that Griner could be drafted this year since she would have been out of high school for 4 years after this season.
