Not very many matches happened since last week, but Reno's results are also included in this weeks rankings since they did not get entered early enough last week.

The big mover in all of wrestling, this week, was Boo Lewallen of #2 Oklahoma State. He got his first 5 matches of his career at Reno and did it in style winning all 5 and taking the 141 crown. Those wins rocketed him up 211 spots to sit at #15 in the rankings.

Dual Rankings: http://www.wrestlestat.com/rankings/dual

Minnesota continues it's climb in the rankings moving up 4 more spots to stop at #6, while Iowa dropped 3 spots to close at #7 after their roster keeps getting shuffled around. NC State also dropped 7 spots to finish at #14 after Pete Renda's injury removes his starter status.

In tournament rankings, Minnesota moved up 4 spots again to finish at #7.

Pretty sure Downey is 5-0, not 4-0 (please don't tell me your system doesn't give him credit for his only non-pin...at 197). At 184, you show seven guys with a 100% winning percentage. Can you explain why Abounader, a red shirt nonetheless (and who is tied with Downey at 5-0 with the least number of matches among those seven), is ranked third, above Dudley, Brooks, Jackson, and, for that matter, Downey?

Thank you.

Several weeks ago, while complaining about these rankings, Andegre offered up his system, and you said you would look into it and make suggestions for improvement. I would think that if you've looked into the system for weeks, that you would know what it does and does not do, and answer your own question above.

"Thank you. I will review the math, and, if I can in any way help to improve your website, I will. I congratulate you on your effort and your passion for the sport." From: http://cyclonefanatic.com/forum/threads/wrestlestat-week-1-rankings.223367/

By now, I would have also have expected you to wow us with your engineering school prowess, and show us where Andegre's math is "wrong." Unless, of course, you have started a private conversation with him and have set him straight.

Officially, Patrick Downey is 4 - 0 because the MFF does not count.

Regarding the rest, they are still ranked higher because they have a higher rating. They started the season with a higher rating, and without any losses, their rating won't go down. Also, ALL wrestlers get a ranking, regardless of injury, redshirt, no matches, etc.

Question about something you might already have and I just haven't figured out how to access - but do you track record against Division 1 opponents anywhere? Just wondering because that info is useful for figuring out what win percentage is needed for an allocation

Not yet, but it's on my radar since NCAA only counts those when factoring seeds, etc for the tourney.

Yeah, with the scorebook long gone there's no easy way to figure that out. And they come in to play for allocations (since the 0.700 number is just the baseline and always varies a bit) and more importantly for wild card selections.

Come March, it will all make sense to you.
