With all of this talk about expansion I have one question. What is the advantage of going beyond a 12 team conference?

I agree, but if we do expand to 14 I like Louisville and Arkansas. Travel to Utah would be a haul.
Do arkansas, Louisville, Utah, or byu; have wrestling?

These types of comments are why I think the Big10 will expand Eastward if at all. With all of the schools out there with a shaky conference allegances, they could easily grab a good portion of the NE markets. A collapsed big East does nothing but good things to the Big10 in the NE.

I understand that by expanding to a bigger conference than 12 that you are getting a bigger market and hopefully more people watching your conference sports. But the thing about it is that this has been tried before if I remember. Wasn't there a conference in the mountain west region that had 16 teams and it folded? I think having more than 12 teams makes scheduling tough as you may hardly see some teams for more than 2 years.
