Jensen who donated the land for the new ISU facility was also supposed add a court for the Attack. He did sell the existing attack to Wilson Toyota. I think Jensen may have been hit by the economy and couldn't follow through to get the attack a new facility. The attack is now being run out of a warehouse south of Karl Chevrolet in Ankeny.

Even though Jensen donated the land, which is in a terrible location in relation to Hilton, isn't he making money off the deal with construction of the facility?

Although aesthetically not as pleasing, I do not know how bad the location is. Many players live out there, and I imagine many more will now that the gym will be there. Compared to many schools in larger cities, even if they live in Maple, the commute will be easy.

Actually the plan is the best from an aesthetic view point. The worst thing that could have been done would have been to butcher Hilton's classic style with a sore thumb addition. Any attempt to do so would have been a distraction.

The actual distance involved means absolutely nothing in terms of growth in the program. The key is to get a facility where players can maximize their development and that the staff can showcase to recruits - objectives are met. As you pointed out, the commute is very short by car and would even be an easy spin on a bike. Many people travel further on a daily run to the grocery store.

Word is once ISU has the money to build a new basketball facility next to Hilton like the initial plans were the one being built now will be for the Iowa Attack, but with the Sound End zone first, this plan is long down the road.

Well they've been talking about bowling in the South End zone since 1980. I don't see a new basketball facility happening any time soon, especially with this new one going up on the west side.

Can somebody help me out and give me some kind of idea as to what this guy is up to now??? There never will be a better shooter at Iowa State like this guy.

Jake Sullivan is currently running a program called Kingdom Hoops out of Ames Iowa. I would know, my brother plays for him.

Welcome to the site. Good luck to your brother. What position does he play?

I didn't know that you could play this card twice...

Not saying there is anything wrong with bumping a thread, but interesting that it comes back again.

If a new poster bumps a thread to get involved in discussion, I don't see a problem with it, unless they are trying to pimp "high quality jerseys" or something. :smile:

SC is a better shooter than Jake.

Don't agree with this. At all.

Range = Easily Sullivan
Free throws = Easily Sullivan
Ability to put it on the floor = Easily Sullivan
Threes = Slight edge Christopherson

I think that some people have a bad taste in their mouths about Jake for whatever reasons over the last few years. He was amazing, one of my favorite cyclones of all time.
