But, in general, Boozer was going to replace Haluska. And Sean was BY FAR our best defender. Hard to take away that guy. And I know there were those that thought that Boozer should have been getting Lucca's minutes. But it's hard to take out one of your only 3 point threats when you lack a slasher to begin with. Teams had to guard Lucca and they probably didn't have to guard Booz.

But I think Boozer had some really good minutes this year and really hustled. I think he can have a real future here if he sticks it out.
I'm just as big of threat shooting the three as Lucca. Seriously, I have the long ball skills. I promise you I can hit 74 out of 192.

Petey worked harder then boozer, how do you know the boozer hustles his *** off in practice too? Could that be a deciding factor. I'll trust a coaches decision over a message board posters about how much playing time a player deserves. Stay Classy.

It's fun to trust a coach that hasn't done **** in 3 years huh?

Regarding practice, I haven't heard anyone talk about lack of effort. I am not trying to say how many minutes he has, but a guy that hustles like him deserves to keep his scholly and not get run off the team like that...

McD is the one who isn't being classy at all...

Don't you think that sounds like an overreaction to something somebody thinks they might have seen as his Facebook status? Really?

There's no sort of proof that Boozer's even leaving, and McDermott still stinks? That's nuts. At least wait and see if something actually happens before starting the meltdown.

I bet you could. I wasn't saying that Lucca shot great last year, but 38% from 3 point range isn't terrible, and IT WAS THE BEST WE HAD.

Other teams would have closed in even more on Craig if Lucca wasn't in there.

Note that I'm not saying that Boozer didn't hustle when he was in there, but I am saying that he wasn't head and shoulders ahead of the other players.

I'm assuming that his facebook comment has to do with him not getting the hustle award at the banquet last night.

So you are saying he is getting run off and not quitting?

If Boozer leaves, I stand by what I say about McDermott.

Wrong. Vanderbeken shot better from beyond the arc...

Wasn't there when I started typing.

Still, even pretending that such a thing happens, not knowing any of the specifics and details of this hypothetical, unknown, unproven development that probably doesn't amount to anything, you've already made up your mind what you'll think about McDermott? That's what I was getting at. You've prejudged a matter that isn't even a matter, and that's not real even-minded.

That could be, but it was with less shots. My point was that I don't think it was clear how or why Boozer should have gotten more minutes.

I can understand why he might be disappointed about not getting more, but I am not sure it is on the coaches.

I love it when people start a comment with "Wrong."

Well he is a head coach, thats what he's paid to do. Sorry I won't take a message board posters opinion over a coach. And who did you want to bring in to be head coach mr. all high and mighty? I think Boozer got his fair share of minutes. Its not like we were keeping an all american on the bench. I'm willing to bet there stuff behind the scenes whether its in practice or off the court that is preventing him from gaining more minutes. Just because Gmac doesn't share everything that happens with you is no reason to attack him. But I know you don't like Gmac anyways so why waste my time? Have fun living in your own little world where everything is Gmacs fault. The difference between lucca and boozer is really that not big, i'd even give a slight advantage to lucca because he is more of an offensive threat, but defensive skill of both need to be improved vastly. Just because a guy hustles doesn't mean he should start, I'm pretty sure Lucca hustles too.

Doing a lot of blaming with an if...sounds good.

Why can't I have an opinion? What has McDermott done to gain my respect and trust in him?

So many are just blindly following him, that eventually you have to realize that I cannot think of a single coach who's highly regarded, that wasn't able to get their team to some kind of postseason in 3 years. We can make up excuses, but he had an All-Big 12 player on the team this past year.

Sometimes you just have to look what's going on, step back, and realize we have a coach who is in over his head at this level. If he went back to the MVC or some other mid-major, he'd do just fine...

I am not arguing for or against Boozers minutes. I am arguing against making a hustle guy feel like he's unappreciated, when we had several players show a lack of effort on the court.
