The cry babies are on this message board. He wants to go pro. What's the big deal?

He might as well go pro. Memphis might be on probation of some sort anyway so now would be a good time to go.

Exactly. With all the changes at Memphis, and the possibility of sanctions, his stock is probably not going to get higher. Might as well get out there now when he has a better chance at a pro career

The problem I have with this entire situation is the quote (pasted below)! Uh...you are correct Shawn...you do not know what might happen when you are expected to carry the load! You might just get it done and improve your position as a potential NBA player! So he fears getting worse? Is he saying he thinks he can not carry "the load"? That seems pretty weak to me!

"I think it's my time to go," Taggart said. "You never know what can happen during a season where I'm going to have to carry the load. We've done a lot at Memphis. I feel as though I'm opening a lot of eyes of people who didn't think I could do anything but dunk. Plus, I've got to provide for my family."

That's exactly what I thought when I read that, too. I couldn't care less that he wants to leave school with a year left, and I'm sure he'll play ball somewhere and make a better living than I do, so good for him. But, he's just so cocky and has proven nothing to back that up. I, too, think he's a bit scared of having that "carrying the load" position and what he might look like if he has to be in that role. Good decision on his part to leave now, IMO, for many reasons.

You're the idiot. You realize a lot of leagues in Europe pay better than the NBA right. And thats theres a lot of guys that could play in the NBA but choose to play over there right?

Nice sixth post. That's odd, because it sure seems like Europe's (and the rest of the worlds) best players come play in the NBA. (Dirk, Tony Parker, Luis Scola, Pao Gasol, Yao, etc.) I'm 100% confident that the NBA is the premier league in the world. Some great basketball is played in Europe, but there is a reason that their best players come here and the NBA flunk outs go to Europe.

Word of advice. Don't throw out things like "you're an idiot" because you just make enemies and look like a *******.
