What is this Captain Mogan? :jimlad:

BV with water is surprisingly drinkable when you are poor.

Really nothing shocking on that list...You have to remember that most of those are "well" liquors. Anyone ordering a vodka & 7 or a whiskey coke is most likely getting one of those vodkas...

What’s the most sold alcohol in Iowa this year? | GazetteOnline.com - Cedar Rapids, Iowa City

Look at the top 5

1. Black Velvet

2. Captain Mogan

3. Hawkeye Vodka

4. Five O’Clock Vodka

5. Jack Daniels

I wonder what the same list would look like if you took alcohol consumed by those over 22.

Black Velvet...Got really drunk on that one New Year's eve and have never had a drink of it since.

I do like Captian Morgan, but have switched lately to Sailor Jerry Navy Rum. Way more kick and nice tasting rum.

Knob Creek Whiskey still is tops for me.

With even cheap beer going up in price, I find myself drinking more Liquor. Their prices haven't seen to have gone up much.

Templeton Rye is ok, but I'd still take Crown Royal over that any day of the week.

Having bartended before, I can totally understand all of the top 5 with the exception of BV. The bar I worked in rarely sold BV, but Jack, "well" Vodkas, and Captain were obvious choices. I've heard BV has been #1 for the longest time. I still don't understand the thinking behind that, but it is cheap, and when you're young, that's all you're worried about.
