Cyclones.com is getting a new look! A banner atop of the current website states that the Official Website of the Iowa State Cyclones will have a new look in the new future. It is about time!!

The real question.... will this "new look" include a thermometer indicating the level of season ticket sales?

Maybe they'll use the "correct" cardinal color instead of maroon... :jimlad:

That being said, thank goodness - I thought much of that website was extremely gaudy and was borderline eyesore...

That's what I was going to say. It seems like they get a "new look" frequently. Then, everybody criticizes said "new look", saying how much it sucks...

Perhaps they need to ask people what they want, and don't want on the site. You'll never please everyone, but I only go the site when I have to, and often I can't find what I'm looking for and know is there somewhere.

I think the "new looks" are the department's brilliant idea. The last change (the current) site is awful. It so busy and the searching isn't very good. The only complaints I remember were from the last change, and it was deserved. The developers went flash/frame hog wild and made an ugly site. Hopefully they hired new people.

I'm hearing that the new site will not have the jersey background or the "Disney"-style buttons (rounded with highlights), and will look more like it was designed by web people than by graphics people.

I have never seen a company/organization have so many website redesigns.

The last one was done before there was even a full-time web person on staff (who could have raised a bunch of red flags before the design went public).

Hopefully it will stream videos better than the current system!

I hope this is possible. I really get annoyed when the ads for the first 15 seconds are perfectly clear, then the video keeps buffering.

Amen to that. I was excited that it was getting redone the first time, cause before this one the site wasn't all that great either.

Hopefully the results this time are much improved..
