The majority of the Hawk Talk threads are started my Clones. This thread is an example.

I find most of the hawk regulars here are bearable, and a few of them (DJK, cmhawks, SH) are even agreeable most of the time. The trolls are annoying sometimes, but if there were less hawk posts by cyclone fans, there would be less hawk posters. Those of you who cannot stand it bring it upon yourself.

Didnt we just have this discussion? Seriously though, Im only posting heavily on Fridays until football gets going again because its not so much the content of these threads as it is the volume. I dont mind the talk, I do mind having it always loading up the main page.

The great solution of just keeping all the in state rivals post OFF the front page was talked about but I guess it died. It would dramatically decrease the amount of threads and everyone who wanted to could still discuss the hawks. I think it would be wonderful. I don't really mind the hawk post's in moderation but when you have 3-4 on the front page alone something needs to be done. Frankly, I can't believe Jeremy has not taken any action on the issue.

I've browsed CF a lot less since the Rhoads hiring. Granted, I'm mostly a football fan and only follow the other sports because it's ISU. I don't know why that has been. I think the reason is that the site has turned into more non-ISU discussion than anything else. There are other boards I go to for non-ISU specific discussion.

I don't really understand why so many Hawks are on the site. Around football season I'll jump on Hawkeye Report to see what's being discussed but I don't bother to sign up and post. I know I would be messed with just as most of the Hawk fans are here.

I have also noticed the increasing number of Hawks here. Just do what I did today which is put every hawk on ignore.

Dude, I'm not a programmer but how much effort would it take to take the in-state rivals threads off the front page? I'm guessing his full time employment would not suffer.

Probably more effort than it would take for Clone fans who don't like it to not click on it.

It goes both ways.

What? Not many cities the size of Iowa City have multi-use areas that cater to certain crowds at certain times.

Research before pointing blame.
I was being sarcastic. In reality the players are to be blame for not being smart enough to drink responsibly.
Did this post contain enough research?

I will tell you that discussion of what to do with the In-State forum is still going on. Much of the site is split on the issue, so it is a tough decision as to what to do with it.

Do you get that the majority of people of this site are sick of the hawk threads? Do you get that out of the thousands of people to look at this site daily you only have a dozen or so who keep posting and starting these threads with you being one of the major players. Oh, but its the "clone" fans fault not the half dozen hawk fans, yourself included, that are involved IN EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE THREADS.

That's right, I used capital letters....

A duel? Possibly with guns, lightsabers, trident?
