... with 6 guys at my work that ISU will beat NDSU by at least 3 TDs (21 points). I work with bunch of NDSU fans, and they all took the bet without hesitation . The bet is a free lunch from each of them, or I pay for 6 lunches. Was I high on kool-aid when I came up with the bet, or do I have a legit chance to eat free for a week? I hope I win... otherwise I have some explaining to do when the wife sees the credit card statement. :wideeyed:

In other countries they would cut your hands off because you're stealing from them.

I actually have few more guys that would take the bet, but with more people there is more and more money I would be out of if Cyclones don't deliver. How far do I dare go? Maybe $100 worth?

I will bet them $10 million dollars to their $100.

See if you can make that work and let me know. I'm guessing we score 50-60 and I'm not kidding.

Three touchdowns is asking for a lot, in my opinion. While I think the Clones win, I think it is likely to be by around 10 points. Something like 38-28.

Last year we beat SDSU 44-17. I don't think this one will be that different.

As someone who regularly gambles on college football I would be VERY careful with that.

2 things you need to remember...

1st game of the year (could be rusty/still picking up the new schemes)

Also remember that even if we can build a big lead you have to be careful of late garbage points..meaning they would prolly still have their 1st string guys in possibly against our 3-4 string players. I cant tell you how many times I have been burnt by this same scenario when betting on large spreads...

With that said, best of luck!!

My concern is that we build the lead up to 28 or something, and then the 2nd string gives up few points and we win by 17 or 20.

That's very true. Maybe I'll stop at the bets I have so far.

Probably a smart move:wink:

If I am coach of the calves I do nothing but run right at us all game testing our Dline and throw nothing but short safe passes to control the clock and keep the spread off the field....You have to figure that they know they cant try to trade punches with us so to speak.

That is what I would do as well. Run, run, run. Ball control, if possible. That is part of my reason for concern....just no confidence in the defense after last year's fiasco.

We sound like a bunch of sqaks overconfident during ISU game week.

And, the TOs last year v. the other SD school were pretty much unforced....meaning it wasn't because of us forcing the issue with them, it was them simply giving it to us.
