Guess I am not sure what you are getting at here?

Are you serious? You know how the sqaks run their mouths on how they are going to steam roll us, etc. How have the games been turning out lately? Look at this thread. 21 points, 30 points, name the score......This will come back to bite us, IMO.

I guess what confuses me is why you quote me? In no way was I saying that we would win by alot...

With a brand new offense I am nervous that we will not start well coming out of the gates. 21 points seems like a lot!

I'll be happy if we even score 21 points. I don't think you made a safe bet but I suppose we will see.

I like that bet. Now, as far as this game goes, we should score 50-60. The reason I say this is because of the talent levels of our offense and their defense. I do not know a whole lot about the Bison, but I would assume, even though we don't get "top tier" talent, there is a large spread. I would guess they will have no answer for our skill position players. ARob should run all over. Arnaud should through all over and our recievers should not be contained by these guys. Defense will be the question, but again, I don't know if they have enough physical talent to hurt us too bad. I really do think at the corners, we may surprise people with LJ and KB along with TB. If they can man up on their reciever and be effective, then controlling the run game becomes a lot easier. In the end I say 55-17 the good guys.

I think you are good to go with the bet. 21 points or less and I'm disappointed with the game vs. NDSU. 6 lunches is really not that much money anyways...

So, because I think we have a good chance to win by at least 21, that will somehow influence the football team, and their state of mind before the game. Somehow, they will get overconfident if few fans think we should win easy. Well, if our team and coaches are that dumb then they don't deserve to win. I believe the opposite to be the truth.
And btw, a number of posters actually were cautious about the score.

It was a good bet. If I was a doubter like other people, then I might as well write off the season. If we don't win the first game by what you had in your bet, then I'm not looking forward to the rest of the season. 'First game jitters' or 'new staff' is complete ******** in my opinion. If we can't beat the bison by 3 TDs then we it will probably be a ****** season... at least in my definition.

Will we win by 21? Who knows, but I'd be disappointed if the spread doesn't hang around there.

To the guy PMSing over us acting like Iowa, there is a difference between playing a BCS conference team and the Bison.

If our confidence "comes back to bite us" in this game, the athletic department will really be in disarray.

Guess what, we talked about how we'd steamroll SDSU last season, and we did. Same thing for Kent State, beat them handily.

If we don't put up 35+, we won't win a Big 12 game. Anything less than 42 and I'll be quite disappointed.

You work with a bunch of NDSU fans?? You must be the Governor. I didn't know they even had a football team until the schedule came out. Your bet is safe we win by at least 31. Thats 2 touchdowns a half with a 55 yard fieldgoal at the end. Final score 34-3

with 6 guys at my work that ISU will beat NDSU by at least 3 TDs (21 points). I work with bunch of NDSU fans, and they all took the bet without hesitation . The bet is a free lunch from each of them, or I pay for 6 lunches. Was I high on kool-aid when I came up with the bet, or do I have a legit chance to eat free for a week? I hope I win... otherwise I have some explaining to do when the wife sees the credit card statement.

After watching our team, well, my entire life I wouldn't bet on the Cyclones to do anything, you never know what your gonna get.

Yes, I see what you're saying.
Part of my bet was just for fun... so we can all have couple weeks of good trash talking, and then give hard time to a guy(s) that has/have to pay for lunch.

It's the Iowa State volleyball team from when they ran into Jessica Simpson at the Airport. I believe it can be found on Cyclones.com

My "luck" has me living about an hour from NDSU... maybe for not much longer.

LEGI.

You're stupid.

NDSU hasnt been beat by more than 21 in 4 years.(1 game where our QB went down and things snowballed in 2005

then 1 time back in 2002.

NDSU WILL NEVER EVER GET BLOWN OUT. OUR DEFENSE IS TOO GOOD, and our BALL CONTROL offense wont make stupid mistakes.

That's because in the history of your "storied" program, you haven't played an offense capable of putting up enough points to beat you by 21 (Minnesota included).
