I am kind of worried about our attendance this season, especially for the opening game. If I read correctly people at fan fest were able to buy 50 yard line near front row balcony seats for $10. This scares me. How empty is the stadium going to be?

Has there been any word on season ticket sales? My guess is the Iowa game will not be sold out. Hopefully there are some good discounts to all current and former military members for the Army game. I understand a recession and a 9-27 record the last three seasons but we need to show up people.

That would be a great crowd. Im guessing a realistic number would be 42,500.... still a great crowd for a team that has the record you posted in the last 3 years.

I just paid $127 for 2 in section 7, row 22. Thats on the 40. I looked on ebay and ticketmaster and these were the best seats. There were better available but these are good. I think the crowd will be good, not a full house. It would have been better on a Saturday afternoon. It would have been full. Put this one on the season ticket holders and the BISON fans.

BISON fans? You are pretty funny.

If you brought your entire season ticket holder base of fans.. thats still not much in JTS.

This should end the Thursday night games. I think they are a bad idea. They discourage people who have to travel a distance of a few hours. Better to have it on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend. We would get bigger crowds IMO. We are missing the boat on this Thursday night game stuff.

We had 48K for SDSU last year. I expect about 46 K this year for NDSU. Also, does anyone really think the Iowa game won't be sold out? No way in hell...

We've probably sold more/as many tickets this year than we did in say, 2005 and those games were all pretty full. I would bet we don't see too many empty seats this year when it's all said and done.

Everyone I know who has season tickets or loves going to ISU games is making it to this one as well. I don't see any drop off at least in my little bubble. I think we will do just fine on attendance.

I stopped by the ticket office and purchased several extra tickets for the game. They said the best available seats were in section M, row 14. If that's not the case, I'll be unhappy.

Face value for the Iowa game ticket (non-Cy's Pack) is $90. $90 freaking dollars...that is ridiculous. So it would not shock me if the Iowa game is sold out.

Quite a few SDSU fans last year. I don't look for as many fans to come from Fargo for a Thursday night game this year. I still expect around 44,000.

BTW, if it were on a Saturday I would be willing to bet that we would get 48,000. People would make it a focal point of their Labor Day weekend.

Also, I think that the Thursday night game impacted season ticket sales some. A Thursday night game, in combination with giving up a home game with K-State probably influenced the guy on the fence from not making a season ticket purchase.

It is time to give us a break from the Thursday night games for a while. Try the Saturdays for a while and see how they compare. JMO

From what I have heard I believe Iowa hasn't even purchased their full allotment for the game this year.

Definitely won't complain about fewer Hawk fans in the stadium but we could use the money...

Not sure if there's much meaning behind it but I know when I called the ticket office yesterday I was listening to their recording and the 3 game mini packs that include the Iowa game are sold out. That would lead me to believe that the Iowa game will be close to full capacity.

I'm not sure we'd get bigger crowds on the weekend since it seems like half the student body goes home over labor day weekend... but I'm all for doing away with the Thursday night game. I absolutely hate it.

As a point of note, Jamie strongly considered changing it.

I think he can see pros and cons as well.

I think after this year, depending on how it goes, the times might or might not be a changing.

I cannot remember when ISU started playing the Thursday night games. But if you want, you can go back yourself and check the attendance when the first games were played on Saturday vs. when it was played on Thursday night.

And some people like to complain. If ISU scheduled for Saturday on Labor Day weekend at 11 a.m., you would hear people complaing about how early that is. If the game is scheduled for 1 p.m., you you hear people complain about how it would be too hot at that time day. If the game is scheduled for 5 p.m., you would hear people complain about how late it was and the weekend is now shot.

And it's not like this game time snuck up on people. People have had a full year to make plans for this game -- they could have taken a day and a half of vacation time and had a pretty darn long holiday weekend.

I could care less when the first game is played -- Thursday or Saturday. I just want to watch the Cyclones play some football.
