I don't follow. You base the wisdon of JP's executive decisions on how they personally affect you?
No - it's not about me at all. I'm saying that I don't think it to be a wise move and that's based off my own perceptions. You clearly like the game, based off your own perceptions. I certainly don't believe JP is anxiously tracking my posts on the subject.
I compared the attendance numbers between the first Thurs games and the Sat games prior to them, a year or two ago. The numbers were pretty much a wash, with the Sat game being slightly better. The UNI game ended up skewing that, but I feel that game is a packed house Thurs, Sat or Monday.
So if you consider the fact that the Thurs game is stated for the benefit of the students (which is fine) and they have increased numbers, one has to conclude that is at the cost of regular ticket holder/buyers attending. You can't have similar attendance numbers and an increase in one demographic without a decrease in another.
Where's the money coming from?
I know what my situation is - not getting tickets. They guy I get them with isn't getting them either. And I know the stress it puts on a number of other ticket holders. That's why I see it as an unwise move. We'll see what attendance says next Thurs and who makes up those numbers.
I also don't like 11:00 kicks on Sat for similar reasons - although it really doesn't affect me personally at all.
