When you make outrageous accusations as you did yesterday I can't imagine a GM would be real excited to keep you on the payroll, guess we'll see in the coming weeks won't we?

Consider yourself warned sportstalkmatt; play ball with the Iowa fanbase or get the bat shoved up your ***.

Don't worry Cyclone fans, your day is coming with Matt too............
Actually I listened to Matt before he came to Des Moines and generally liked listening to him. Don't have to agree on everything and expect him to bow and suck your team's crank at every turn like Miller does.

We can agree to disagree...you see it as Iowa running well....I see it as a team beating up a deflated team. Fine...we'll see how Iowa runs the ball in the coming weeks and how they play against the quality teams in the Big 10 (how many there are is debateable).

Let's have me worry about my future....I will be just fine in this field - always have been.

Matt, I understand what you are saying. But, you have to understand uofi fan - you are taking away where they get their value.

It is interesting, however, that in the past couple of years, when ISU has had decent offensive stats, uofi fan has consistantly said that the reason was because the game was out of reach and teams adjusted and that those yards were in garbage time. Makes sense to them as they don't want to give ISU any credit.

Now, uofi has the opposite situation and they don't want to play by the same rules. The stats will count in the record books, but they don't mean that uofi will be THAT successfull in future games. When ISU got down by 3 scores, their deffensive consistancy changed and uofi changed their strategy.

Come on GC, you're better then this. I don't expect him to bow down to Iowa, but for him to give little if any respect to the Hawkeyes after Saturday's game was just pathetic.

I really don't think they deserved all that much. Iowa State had a pathetic showing (I'm not the blind optimist that most ISU fans are and expect them to win 6 games this year) and Iowa was given great field position all day long. They lucked out a win against UNI, beat a bad ISU, what respect do they deserve? BCS talk?

I agree, this winter it will be Brackins sucks after a bad game and Creighton would take ISU to the woodshed and why would Barnes want to come play at a place like ISU that will finish in the middle of the Big 12 etc.....

Listen, Iowa State played at home and the way they played Saturday it made me think they were on the road. Iowa's defense caused turnovers and while AA gift wrapped a couple picks the Iowa offense (who didn't play well at all) scored the touchdowns correct? Remember this GC, Iowa State fan (no matter how) would take a 2-0 record in a heartbeat

Agreed, but that's neither here nor there.

I'll give iowa credit for being 2-0. Do they look like a Top 25 team to me? No. Just my opinion. I look at the game as a good iowa defensive gameplan and a terrible job by Arnaud. IF Arnaud doesn't throw those picks (none of which were forced), this is a tight game...iowa doesn't have the short fields, ISU's D isn't on the field all game and Wegher never gets going. Now of course, those picks DID happen, but in my evaluation of iowa, I'm just not all that impressed. I think ISU looked about as bad as they could look and that made the score lopsided between two bad teams.

I didn't listen to Matt, but if that's what he was saying, I agree with him.

I haven't once said that Iowa was a top 25 team but the time of possession wasn't that much in favor of Iowa so for anyone to say ISU's defense gave up and that's why Iowa had a good rushing game is laughable. AA threw the INT's and Iowa's offense (which was bad) had to capitalize, which they did. I'm sorry you thought Iowa looked like a bad team, they didn't play an A+ game but I know the Iowa team made ISU look just as bad as ISU made themselves look bad.

I'm sorry you continue to find it wise to fight futile battles on your "non-rivals" message board.

Great points made by all ,but I said while I sat and watched the game neither team was playing great football! I still dont think so ... thats not saying Iowa didnt deserve to win ..It simply means they didnt look special at all ... This really worried me about my team..Because when u get beat by a team that doesnt look special , by as many points as we did it made me worry alot !!!I dont think matt was trying to be a jerk just give his opinion... He has had opinions about Iowa State that didnt brighten my day, but its an opinion and its talk radio ..Just a thought .. ? I really hope ISU looks way better this week.
