I have never been to a bowl game, but I want to make sure that when I buy tickets at the insight website, that I am not the only ISU fan in a sea of gophers. Anyone know which sections we are in?

Not sure yet. Tickets through Iowa State have not been assigned yet (Well publicly). You just order them and they will assign your seats according to your donating level. That's through Iowa State though.

Anybody know what the difference between going through the university or bowl site is? It looks like $37 and $22 for upper level tickets though bowl site or $55 through university. Are all university tickets lower level?

ISU will be the home team I called the ticket office for the Insight Bowl 800-635-5748 to verify and I was able to get tickets in the lower level between the 30 & 40 yard line for $64/ticket and on the aisle 30 rows from the field. The website ties up all the tickets when your trying to get on it so it was better to call their ticket office.

Were there any other fees on top of that $64?

I ordered the $22 tickets off the website, and ended up on the 50 yard line....but I'm not sure if its on the right side of the field. I figure there will be open seats in the upper deck of the Cyclone side, so I'll just move if my seats happen to be on the Gopher side.

If the extra money for tickets isn't a huge deal to you and yours, please buy through the university. Also keep in mind, I believe that all university tickets are the lower level. If you buy through the university it will for sure go towards our "stats" of tickets sold and possibly continue our reputation of traveling well and maybe help us in future bowl selections like this one.

I ordered from insight, the can look at delivery address and infer fanbase action

Also I have always gotten like goal line lower level from ISU, but I prefer upper level 50yd line to goal line lower level

If I am surrounded by gophers which I highly doubt, cause they won't travel to this one, I will make friends with them and drink more beer.

Well looks like I won't be the only Cyclone in that section. I agree, I can't imagine there will be many Gophers in the upper deck.

Yeah guys, try and get your tickets through the University. It will be more expensive but it is a small amount compared to the total price of the trip. ISU then gets credit and it will help for bowl selection in the future.

Iowa State will get NO credit for any tickets not sold through Cyclones.com. They will not look at mail addresses.

Please buy through Iowa State if at all possible.

I'm all for getting my tickets through the university, but the extra $$$ isn't the problem. It's the waiting around to find out if I get tickets and where they are at.
