Why do we boo so much?

I've never booed at anything in my life. But if there was ever a game that had some booable calls, it was Saturday.

The people in Cyclone Alley around me booed literally every class after the refs got a couple wrong. Also, there are a lot of people in CA this year that try to get people to look at them by yelling "funny" stuff at opposing players. This does nothing but make those people look like an idiot and make my arm wet from their spittle when they yell. End of rant sorry.

Oh no! People trying to have a true home court advantage! Oh NO!!!!!!!!!

Its kind of embarrassing that we boo EVERY call that doesn't go our way. We are the laughing stock of college basketball because of how much our fans boo.

Haha, I would love to be the laughing stock of college basketball because that would mean that most basketball fans even know who we are. Face it, with as little success as we have had the last few years, nobody outside Big 12 country knows much about our fanbase. I would be impressed if they can properly identify our mascot or find Ames Iowa on a map.

Have you been reading KU's message boards? Because they always make fun of us because of all of the "booing" we do. However, if you ever watch a big game when the game is at Allen Fieldhouse, you will see that they boo just as much as we do. Every fanbase boo's. Pay closer attention to a big game on tv and you will see that the home crowd will boo just as much as us.

I have read that thread, thats partly why I made this one.

Wahh... you're welcome to go sit in the upper section with you're arms cross like a little school girl. Its part of being in a student section and having fun. God forbid we have to just stand there and not say anything at all.

I have no problem with being loud. Yelling dumb things at opposing players and officials who can't even hear the comments being said does nothing. I'm all for collective booing and no means no chants but repeatedly yelling **** you ref or **** you Collins isn't productive, especially when they can't hear it.

Yes because I was advocating standing there and saying nothing at all. If you were sitting in front of the guy I have a couple games this year you wouldn't be saying that. All I ask is if you're going to yell something, come up with something funny and don't spit all over me.

You're right cause never have an opposing player or ref look the way of the students when theres a break. :jimlad: Get over yourself, they hear most of the things thrown there way if its loud enough.

I was 3/4 of the way up in Cyclone Alley. If the guy was in the front row I can understand why he would say that stuff. I can guarantee nobody could hear this guy but he continued to swear at not only the Kansas players and refs but our players as well. But I guess I need to get over myself because I like to think our fans can do a little better than just repeatedly yelling the f word.
