Re: Official ISU/CU Postgame Thread.

What happened the last 16 seconds?

Crazy finish. A landshark came onto the court and put a small cut on Dendy but totalled mauled a Colorado player. Also, while defending himself, a ref broke his leg and had to leave the game. Meanwhile, a sniper took out the landshark but shattered the backboard with an errant shot. After removing the carcass and replacing the backboard, ISU held on for a win.

You forgot when Pollard slammed a beer bong on the video screen during that last time out and Cy wrestling Mickey Rooney at center court while Joan Rivers gave kids free plastic surgery.

It was a memorable game indeed.

I believe it was Ernest Borgnine, not Mickey Rooney, but it was a little tough to tell on the SD broadcast.

Colvin and Ham give us hope for the future. Hamilton could end up being a beast like Homan. When Colvin slows down and gains control he will be very good.

Re: Official ISU/CU Postgame Thread.

I assume you mean garrett. Can't have both colvin and garett in. They are both turn over professionals.

Actually, Colvin stopped that initial run of 9 TOs that we had before his first entrance. He settled things down, which got us back into the first half.

Also, I think tonight is a hint to some of the guys that there really are no easy games in the Big 12.

21 turnovers to 4
ISU had two players with more turnovers than Colorado's team

That is the best basketball I can recall Justin Hamilton playing at Iowa State.

First half Brackins, never show your face again. Second half Brackins, stay the **** here!

LaRon Dendy, I'm shocked you're alive after how Mac laid into you.

No. I think this team wins one, maybe two more games this season. Probably Nebraska at home. Think they sneak one other at home against someone, not sure who. 4-12 in the conference, tied with Nebraska for last place. Get the 11th seed by virtue of two wins over them.

so, what you're saying is that we get 15 wins.......again.

Ugly game. It's a miracle we won. That last inbounds play was probably the worst I have ever seen. I was sure we were going to lose after that. Still, a Big 12 win is a Big 12 win.

I think Hamilton is my new favorite player. He impresses me almost every game, and he had a GREAT night tonight. And I hope good Brackins decides to stick around. If he and Gilstrap both have a good night (and we cut down on the awful turnovers...) we can knock off a good team like Baylor or KState.

Glad the opponent was CU. Against almost any other team with even a tinge of ability, it would've been a 15-point loss.
Nice that ISU could crawl out of that pathetic start, then rally and actually win (or, more accurately, not lose) ... but that's two straight games when they've waited about 20 minutes to get a sense of urgency. Why not play that way from the opening tip?

+1.

Hamilton showed the promise that we keep talking about, and he's starting to get assertive. I have never seen Hamilton calling for, much less demanding, the ball before tonight. He earned that blowout victory for 1st half MVP.

That example he set made this thing happen tonight. He has a nice little future the next couple of years.

I missed Mac and Dendy. What was it?

I missed Mac and Dendy. What was it?

In the first half going into a timeout, it looked like Mac wanted to fight Dendy. It was very awkward looking.

It was shortly after Dendy dropped a pass and resulted in a turnover. I don't know if that's what caused it or not. It seemed a little inappropriate for just a dropped pass.
