If you could choose one Cyclone from the past to come and help this team out

who would it be?

I was thinking of which player would come in and make the most impact right away and help this team win.

I picked the Mayor for his leadership and shooting ability. I was really stuck between him and Tinsley.

Yep - Tinsley.

Skills to go with toughness this team desperately needs.

Second choice might be Freddie. Or maybe a Mike Nurse or Willoughby who can fill it up from outside and take the pressure off Brackins down low.

Tinsley is an easy choice. He would help any team get better. Besides him, my first instinct was Fizer. But for this particular team, I might go with Dedric. If he rained threes that might do wonders for the rest of the teams' game.

Skogs for the comedy factor.

Tinsley. No brainer. Second choice would be Hornacek. We need better point guard play.

I'd agree we need that, but we need a lot more as well. Tinsley had a great supporting cast.

I agree with that for Tinsley's first year here.

But I think this squad has the talent to be twice the supporting cast Tinsley had his second. And he still got us to the regular season crown.

Jeff Hornacek

No question, Hornacek. He was as much of a coach on the floor as he was a player.

Close second would be Freddy. Great leadership
Then Fizer. Fizer took control of the team and the game at times.

Tinsley - No way, not a good leader, can play ball but leadership is lacking.
Grayer, great player but could become somewhat passive at times during the game.

Tinsley, hands down.

DG could be the second best PG in the history of ISU and Tinsley would be a huge upgrade, he was just that good. And no single position in college basketball can affect the performance of your team like a good PG.
