Phew.

Three guys still alive, all in the championship. Definitely not the kind of showing we were hoping for, but it's better than nothing.

Sounds like we should be in second after all these champ. points are totaled (not including wrestlebacks).
I was wondering what the points tally was after this.

How many guys does Iowa still have in it? Cornell? Okie State? tOSU? Those were the ones closest to us points-wise, right?

Wasn't RT still a factor? and if Z got out, he would have needed a TD anyway. Unless I'm lost because of what TDR was saying.

I think if the Duke guy would have rode him out to the end of the period Z wouldn't have got the riding point and it would have gone to OT, but maybe not.

Iowa has around 121, and after hearing "8th with 48 points" I realized they had it in the bag, and kind of stopped listening.

Unfortunately, Cornell is still in second something like 70.5 to 67. Problem tomorrow, we have to wait until finals to score any points. I think Cornell has two finalists and some still in the consolations.

That's what I thought as well. However, you always want the win to come at your offense instead of chance. It's a natural decision to say "I only have to TD him and win. Or I could roll the dice and hope that I hold him down and he doesn't escape."

With Z's OT performances, the Dukie may have been thinking his best shot was a quick one after release. It was risky and did not happen.

Iowa should be able to dominate for the next 20 years or so . . if the sport survives at the NCAA level. And nobody will care.
