I don't want to have to hate Freddy if it blew up. I loved that guy before I even knew where ISU was because he worked his *** off the years he was on the really good T-Wolves teams.

It would be a hire based purely on emotion and resignation rather than common sense.

I made Freddy Subways all of the time when I was in college and he was a HS senior. Creepy.

awesome. i'm sick of mid major re-treads, "head coaching experience" bla bla bla. the guy knows hoops, and has NBA connections. that's what recruits want. he'll get the right assistants to help with the ncaa minutia....

"Hoiberg has traveled and scouted players for years now. He has seen more basketball than anybody. He is a guy that the fanbase would get behind and Hilton would be back right away. He is smart and has a good personality."

Unfortunately, he has been scouting college, not high school players. He would have no contacts for recruiting and has absolutely no coaching experience.

I don't have a problem with it. Sure, we don't know his style, but he knows uptempo college basketball, he knows Floyd's style, he knows what it's like to play well for a long time in the NBA. He knows winning. He knows winning at ISU.
Experience might not be everything. For those saying "let's try something different," this would be different.
But Rob Jeter was reported last time, and he didn't get the job. Once your name is out there, you're not likely to get hired.
