Well said. Completely agree.

PS. The Big 12 will be fine. Are there kinks to be worked out? Sure. But the conference will remain mighty and strong for a long time to come.

Agree. He has been looking for anyway to throw Pollard and Iowa State under the bus because of his hate for Pollard. I think he also is really hoping for Iowa State to move conferences to have us more equivalent to Creighton recruiting wise. I will be total 1700 unless it is Miller by himself or CW.

Matt Perualt seems really out of touch on this subject as relating to the Big 12. Listening to him try to spit up complete BS as fact is enough for me to turn the channel. Every single time I turn the channel there to see if it is clear to listen just takes a few seconds to hear him try to belittle ISU. He will never admit it but everyone out side of him can see he has an obvios agenda against ISU.

My impression of this Matt P . . is he is VERY, VERY immature. The scorn, contempt, and ridicule he spews against ISU is so junior high.

If he thinks he can build audience by slamming ISU day in and out . . more power to him. We all know he has issues with ISU and Pollard. I will never forget how he giggled at ISU's hiring of Hoiberg . . and how Walters slapped him down like the little twirp he is. So Matt P . . we all know you troll CF . . get lost you little punk.

I agree that ISU fans are often to fickle, but what I don't like is if both Missou and Nebraska leave, do I truly want ISU to even be a part of the Big 12 anymore. I can almost gurantee that the schools that are chosen to replace those schools will be southern schools, probably from Texas, or maybe a Utah. IF, I know it is a big IF, that is the case I'm sorry but I'm just not that excited about our situation. Kansas and K-state would really be the only "Rivals" we have that would be in reasonable driving distance for fans to go see. I just don't see how anyone can say that would be a good situation for ISU. But as stated, it is based on a lot of IF's.

Consider this . . Okie State will shift to the northern division of the Big12 . . TCU or Arkansas into the southern. That takes care of losing Nebraska . . o

I could see Arkansas but I just don't see any way that TCU is in the Big 12. That would allow them to be on the same recruiting level as Texas and OU and I just don't see them allowing that to happen.

That being said I really think that TCU could become a consistent national power house if they joined the Big 12.

I know some don't like the thought of it but I would actually like to see the Big 12 make a run at Louisville and maybe even Memphis. They are closer to the existing schools that going the Utah and BYU route. Plus that would make an awesome addition on the basketball side plus Louisville has had some good football lately.

I agree with your thoughts on Louisville (Memphis academics are an issues I think). But I also think OSU will move into the North Division and perhaps go after Colorado State.

Never thought about academics at Memphis. Having been there a couple times and been by the campus and Liberty Bowl it wouldn't be a big loss to not have them as you would have to worry about getting killed if you went to an away game there.

I don't see Okie State getting split from OU. That would end the Bedlam series & I think that would be too much for the State of Oklahoma to give up. But I could definitely see Louisville or Memphis. That would expand into Kentucky & Tennessee & still encroach Missouri on the borders. Perhaps you make a run at Cincinatti & get into the Big 10 territory a bit as well with some Ohio exposure as well.

Let's face it, if Rutgers or Pitt get picked off, Louisville & Cincy may indeed want a change as well.

Definitely BYU or Utah if CU bolts. BYU perhaps has a larger fan base & due too Mormonism & they already have their own TV channel on cable, so definetly would not rule them out.

I'd also throw out Tulsa. Good basketball school & they've had a decent run in football recently as well.

I actually listened to Toyota of Des Moines & Marty Tirrell....he's not much better, but at least he's not pushing his agenda & inviting his buddies on the radio too spin the controversy.

Or maybe I just give up, enjoy the gloom & doom & buy into the agenda. Heck, maybe I should just lower my standards & become a Creighton Season Ticket Holder & look forward to nothing with McDermott!!!

Everyone is talking dooms day and not one of them know what is going on. I dont think the Big 10 even knows for sure what they want to do.

Iowa State would be better off in the Big 10.
We could move the Iowa Game into the conference schedule and add a powder puff non conference. Many teams are just as close for away games, and we would get tons on Big 10 network money shared equally.
We would be able to beat Illinois, Minnesota, Purdue, Indiana, and Northwestern consistently. If Michigan continues to have problems, we would beat them also. Iowa and Wisconsin have great tailgating.

Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado are too far to go for a road game.

Many Eastern Iowa people would really enjoy seeing Iowa State beating the Big Ten teams they are used to watching. I think it would be a great new direction to go and hope Iowa State would be considered.

I could actually see this game finally getting moved to the rivalry weekend (Thanksgiving weekend?) when all the major rivalries play out.

IMO if Mizzou and NU go to the Big 10, Texas to the SEC will happen. Then as I have been saying, the remnants of the Big 12 go to the MWC to make a powerful conference (including OU and OSU) with 16 teams including Boise State.

They are saying OU, OSU, A&M, and others to the Big 12.

Be nice if the Big 10 just took Mizzou, Nebraska, ISU, KU and KSU - then had 16.

Again, consider the source. This was written by an SEC columnist. Bottom line, everyone wants Texas. And ultimately, Texas can do what they want. Texas leaving means the rest of the Big 12 members can set this baby up like we'd like it, revenue sharing, etc. There are plenty of teams in the Texas that would join the Big 12 if they could. In Texas alone you have TCU & you could also throw in Houston. Both have histories in football & basketball. The Big 12 will not fold, it will simply shuffle teams around if anything.

So either the Big 12 remains the same & the stink raised by Mizzou = more parity/revenue sharing/TV network for the conference........ Or we lose some of the big players (Nebraska & Texas) who like to have control, then new teams will be added that make sense from C-USA/Big East or TCU from Mountain West.

Ultimately either scenerio will be a benefit for ISU.

NO WAY Texas goes to the SEC. OU maybe, but not UT. They may go independent, but most likely will stay in the Big 12.
